Zynga to launch its first Web3 game: Sugartown
Zynga, a popular mobile game creator, owned by Take-Two Interactive Software, has introduced its very first Web3 game and platform named Sugartown.

The storyline features farm animals accidentally unlocking a wormhole to Sugartown, unleashing unique beings called Ora’s. These creatures transform Sugartown into a vibrant realm brimming with games and excitement.
Who is Zynga?
Zynga is famous for several games:
- FarmVille: Create, build and nourish the farm of your dreams
- Words With Friends: A free-to-play online multiplayer word game.
The game Farmville, by itself, had an impressive 80 million Monthly Active Users (MAU).
During its prime in 2012, this gaming powerhouse reached around 300 million users before recently stabilizing at approximately 200 million MAU.
This marks a significant step, making Zynga the first major mobile game maker to craft a Web3 game from the ground up.

Sugartown operates on the Ethereum network, creating an immersive setting where players can win prizes.
In this game, players use their ERC-721 Ora token to confirm ownership and enter Sugartown. By staking Oras, players earn energy, which powers Sugartown games and unlocks rewards using Sugar, the in-game currency.
